Exterior Vastu check · address only

Know what Vastu‑minded buyers will ask — before the showing.

Send any U.S. address. We read the plot from the outside — facing, roads hitting the plot, slope, water direction, and neighbours like temples, hospitals and cemeteries — and add the Feng Shui view. Report in one business day.

Sample report: site map, score and the Vastu checklist

The part of Vastu you can't renovate

Rooms can be rearranged. The plot can't. These are the exterior points Vastu-minded buyers bring up — and the ones most floor-plan tools ignore.

1Plot facing

East, north and north-east are preferred. South-facing can still work — it depends on where the entrance sits, which we flag for the floor plan.

2Veedhi shoola

A road running straight at the plot. Some directions are traditionally beneficial (North-NE, East-NE), others harmful (South-SW, West-SW) — we name which one.

3Slope

Land lower to the north and east is preferred. We measure it from USGS elevation data, not guesswork.

4Water direction

Lakes, creeks and channels to the north-east are favourable; to the south-west, traditionally avoided.

5Dead-end & corner plots

Is the home at the closed end of a cul-de-sac, or mid-block? Which corner is it?

6Temple shadow

Whether a temple or church sits right next door.

7Hospitals, cemeteries, cremation

How far, and in which direction.

8Power lines & freeways

High-voltage lines, substations, freeways and rail — distance in feet.

9House number

The numerology root of the number, and what it's commonly taken to mean.

Also selling to Chinese buyers? Every report includes the Feng Shui view of the same address — road "sha qi", reverse-bow curves, support behind the house. A full Chinese-language Feng Shui report is available on our Chinese site.

Sample: a house in Arcadia, CA

A textbook Feng Shui home — south-facing, mountains behind, quiet cul-de-sac. But a Vastu buyer will ask about the south entrance and the land rising to the north. The report flags both, so you can prepare answers before the showing.

For listing agents — and for buyers

The same exterior analysis, packaged two ways.

  • A short report you can print for the open house

Where the data comes from

Roads, buildings, water and facilities come from OpenStreetMap; slope comes from the U.S. Geological Survey's elevation data. We apply commonly used Vastu and Feng Shui guidelines to those measurements.

We don't use Zillow or other listing-site content, and we never publish anything about a specific address — reports go only to the person who asked. For cultural interest; not an appraisal.

Questions

How accurate is it?

Distances, directions and street layout are computed from map data and can be checked. Facing is estimated from the street side of the house — confirm with a compass on site, especially if the entrance doesn't face the street. When map data is thin, the report says so.

Does this replace a Vastu consultant?

No. We cover the exterior — the part that can't be changed — quickly and cheaply. Room placement, the entrance pada and remedies are best done by a consultant with the floor plan.

Will you post anything about my listing?

Never. Reports are sent by private link to the requester only.

Which areas do you cover?

Any U.S. address. Map data is richest in Southern California, the Bay Area and other metro areas.

What does it cost?

Agents get three listings free, then $49 per listing or $99 a month for unlimited listings. Buyer reports are free during the beta.
